Thought's on Luke Norris

Postby Garawa » Mon Oct 12, 2015 3:47 pm

He is fast becoming a marmite character. Most seem to dislike him and I guess it is easy to conclude that if you don't attend games as his record doesn't look good. Personally I think his strength is pulling defenders about all over the place. Large gaps were left by Fleetwood for us to score 4 before half time and that was largely by defenders trying to cope with him in my opinion. He has also been an inch away from another 4 or 5 goals after the shots hit the woodwork so what are people's thoughts on Norris?

I guess mine would be a key player that creates the space for others to score in but could do with scoring a bit more himself.

Not seen him play this season as I haven't had chance to get to any games! Justin Edinburgh obviously likes him as he has started every league game in a team who are top goalscorers in the country! He may only have 3 goals in 12 games, but creates chances for himself and others! Looking forward to seeing him and the team play at Walsall and Coventry!

He frustrates at times but his physical nature never lets the defenders have a second's peace! We are scoring lots and not conceding hardly at all late in games and I believe he is helping to tire them out and which we then exploit with our pace. I still think though score a couple and he might go on a run like Donnelly, who has 5 goals in 3 games from 6 shots on target after managing just 1 shot on target with no goals in his previous 10 games. Amazing how form can change. Donelly was helped by Norris, not sure who would help Luke.

There is always a marmite player in the Team.I think Norris is obviously doing a good job even if he hasn`t been rewarded with the goals yet.Saturday he would have scored if he was passed to,he saw a header go just wide at Peterborough, and has hit the post a few times from free kicks. With Norris in the side it is obviously working as the Table shows.

That's the point 1066 - people either love Marmite or hate it , so it's become a term used for when someone/thing is universally either loved or hated , with no middle ground

Adam Miller's nickname was actually Marmite I believe. Definitely either hated or loved (I was somewhere in the middle lol).

So you're still on Marmite, you haven't progressed to Vegemite yet? Beautiful stuff.
