Those are very interesting stats. They cover a fair amount of matches as well so a pattern definitely seems to be there. Long may he continue bringing good times to Gillingham.

I didn't bother going back further, just looked at equivalent games played since he left Newport (who seem to have fallen a lot) and joined us. I reckon they would have been greater because he took Newport to a promotion and some of the Gills figures wouldn't include the sluggish first season back. How quickly things can rapidly change. We could be 3 divisions apart come August but had things stayed as they were we could have been a league behind them!

He's obviously had an excellent start but the last few games haven't seemed quite so controlled. Even last night we got drawn into a battle of Luton's choosing and we didn't seem to know how to change it. I know JE was supposed to have had harsh words at half time but did we really dominate the second half as he claimed? It was good to win but the early games of the season were won with style and something to spare. I really hope we get something out of the next away games otherwise I worry that the good start is in danger of becoming a pleasant memory.

I just can't see it continuing but will enjoy it while it does! Still on a par with title winning teams so I don't see why not. I don't think we controlled the second half but we were better. Garmston definitely didn't change the game when he came on like many said, we were level for 10 minutes before he came on. Personally I thought the midfield was odd. Still one sitting with 3 in front but McGlashan was wide right with Hessy tucked in on the left to allow Dickenson to overlap (something Morris didn't so and stayed back). It left the midfield quite lop sided and a lot of long balls were played, something they hadn't done for a long time.

Well three points from the first away game helps! Win at Crewe as well and we may have to start believing this could be a more exciting season than we may have hoped for!

I just can't bring myself to do it! It's like meeting the most gorgeous movie star, convincing yourself you're going to have the most thrilling life in every way imaginable but after 6 months you hardly see her anymore! Now if at Christmas it's still the same I may just order some Ribena in!

Ha ha! Three months with a movie star would probably finish me off anyway!
