Gills sign Liam Nash

Postby Garawa » Fri Jul 21, 2017 6:23 pm

I know nothing of the guy except that he scored 37 goals last season but clearly many Gills fans wanted him after his trial and here he is! Odd considering he is a non-league player. Let's hope he delivers otherwise it will quickly become the "cheap option never pays off" scenario.

So we now have Tom Eaves, Connor Wilkinson, Liam Nash and Josh Parker as forwards with Greg Cundle and Noel Mbo as back ups. I wonder who the intended main strikers are?

He will be great if we keep playing Chatham, how many games do we have against Division 8 opponents this season lol. Bit like Hessy Jnr going from the Gills bench to playing along side Ronaldo at PSG, or Monaco or Roma or even Barcelona or where ever he will be playing next year.
Hey you never know, he looks a bit of a " strange guy ", wears two earings, one in each ear, guess if he plays lights out he can wear them where ever he wants, lol.

Apparently he likes Justin Bieber if that's any help. It's a big step up from Ryman North but spotting potential talent is what lower league management is all about. Good luck to him.
We've said goodbye to the few remnants of class the team had , now it's all down to Pennock and his ragtime band stitching a functional unit together which shows some consistency and heart.
Oh yes , and playing proper football until the final whistle wouldn't be a bad idea.

He's a young lad with potential but might need time to adjust, going from training 2 nights a week to fulltime training and matches might leave him a little low on stamina, hopefully people will give him time before slagging him off.

I`m excited by Nash.I know he`s not played league football before, but we often miss out on these kind of players. To score 37 goals at any level is excellent,so he will put goals away for sure.He seems pacy, and knows where the goal is.He is a Cody type of player which we needed in the squad.

No-ones going to slag the guy off before he gets a good solid crack at playing for the Gills.
What the hell happend to Nash yesterday, if he is supposed to be this goal scoring dam machine how come he didn't get a hat trick against Ipswich yesterday. Typical , another waste of 45 quid a week salary, GO HOME YOU BUM back to the RHYMAN where ANYONE with two legs can score 37 goals a season.
There got that out the way, now he will be the next Georgie Best (ask your Father) score 20 a year for the Gills.
