I've just seen your posts, which is all new to me not being on twitter, but thanks for all that. In reality, the truth behind it all, my birthday was ages ago but unknown to me, our two sons wrote to Gillingham and asked if they could buy a shirt and could the team sign it for me as it was my 70th birthday. They not only obliged but said they would do it for free as a special birthday gift. Our sons then had to get it framed and finally presented me with it. It was an amazing effort for the boys to do it for me but an even more amazing thing that Gillingham did for me. I can't thank them enough for their generosity. When I read some of the articles on hear about lack of PR i find it hard to relate to. When we visited a couple of years ago, we were greeted with open arms, not only by Garry and his friends from the pub but from the club as well. We fronted up on a cold and wet day completely unknown yet the PR man invited us in and gave us a tour and spent quite a bit of time with us. I was left with really good feelings about the club, that is apart from the games I saw, a loss at home and another loss away to Port Vale. I'll just say again, thank you Gillingham for the fantastic gesture, I'm completely rapt.

I did wonder if you would have seen the twitter post hence why I wrote this. Fantastic from the club, especially when your sons sounding as if they were happy to pay! I think the club can always do more and get some things wrong but I think PR side of things has got better lately and I get a fair amount (albeit largely via social media). Rimshot might want to set up a few profiles ha ha.

MESSAGE FROM NOIRCAT

To follow up earlier tweets Noircats will be interested to, or probably already, know that Bunbury is a long standing and regular player in Noircat. His son approached Noircat some months ago for a special gift for Bunbury's big birthday. Noircat engaged James Knott at the Gills who caught the special moment and ensured the machinery worked to create this special experience for this Gills Fan.
Noircat International in perfect action.

Thank you for your kind thoughts 1066. I may be over 70, I saw my first Gills game in 1956, but I'm still in reasonable knick. Up to 7 weeks ago, I was in training to do a marathon, then I did a calf muscle. I've done a marathon in my 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. The next and last one will have to wait for a little longer. Thanks Garry for that last bit of info, I had no idea all that was going on behind the scenes. I didn't know you were in it as well. 1066 might put 2 and 2 together and come up with 3 and think we've been colluding on the lucky league. You're right about the twitter, I'm only just getting used to the computor. Thanks again for everything Garry.

No old darling, I watch episodes of Inspector Morse every week on the TV, I add two ad two and come up with FOUR, I just like the rest of the non winners (we are not called losers any more, just like there is no 3rd and 4th division) we can see whats going on with old kiss ass big G, back at home base.
OK got a bag of coal coming your way as a little prezzie, hope it will keep that steam driven computer you use going through the summer.
