The Buck Stops HERE

Postby gillsfan1066 » Wed Mar 02, 2016 1:35 pm

ON JUSTIN CHARLES EDINBURGH'S DESK. The Blackpool through Crewe games were Gillinghams time to collect a hat full of points, 24 points up for grabs against the tomato cans of the division, and so far we have managed to take FOUR out of a possible EIGHTEEN.
Is it possible that GFC could get back into an automatic promotion place this year........NO, .......will we be in the play offs..........possibly ,...... we have a 6 point lead over the 7th placed team, I just hope the last game of the season doesn't determin which team takes that 6th and final play off spot, we could be sitting on the fence looking at another season in Division One come 2.15 pm, May the 8th, which would be a real shame after such a great start to the season.
Every team has injuries with 75% of the season gone, that should not be used as an and excuse for Gillinghams terrible run of results since late January, it's time to face the truth, Edinburgh is doing a lousy job as the Manager of Gillingham Football Club

You can't say he's doing a lousy job but you can say we having a poor run similar to Walsall and Coventry. All teams have them, even ones that win the league and so far Burton have avoided one. Its going to be tough and I can still see Wigan and Millwall taking the spots as they appear to be the sides with form. If they did then much of the play offs would consist of sides in poor form.

Would we have considered 4th spot at this stage of the season to be a successful one? I personally would.
Would we have considered Jed to be doing a great job if we were the league's top scorers with the 3rd best goal difference even after 3 consecutive defeats? I do!
Even now he has a record of Won 26, Drawn 14 and Lost 16 given him a win percentage of 46.4%. Is that a sackable record? I don't think so.

We cannot confuse a poor run of form with bad management. Its fine having a small squad but it isn't allowing us a plan B for sides that know what to expect from us.

Not looking to fire him, just think him being an ex- player I assume rightly or wrongly he is what they call a players coach ,they like playing for him, which makes me think it's time to stop being their buddy and give them some tough love.
On another note, don't you just love seeing Arsene Wenger when Arsenal loose, lol, love it, just love it.

Would love to see Leicester City win the title, of course then Man Utd or Chelsea or someone will come throwing buckets of cash at Ranieri, he will go , fail and end up back in Italy, then LC will go through two managers in the next three years and then this time 2019 they will be on the way back to The Championship Division never to be heard of again. Think I would kill to see GFC go through that agony, lol.
