- The Gills last defeat at Bristol Rovers came in October 2016. It is their only defeat there in the last 7 visits and, since that defeat, they have won 3 and drawn 2.
- After a winless start of 4 games to their League 2 campaign (including 3 consecutive defeats), Bristol Rovers went unbeaten in 6 (5 wins). Since that spell, they have lost 4 in a row and have conceded 4 goals in the last 3. Their 2 wins in the last 6 have both been cup games.
- Bristol Rovers (16th) and Cheltenham Town (20th) have conceded the joint highest amount of goals in League 2 (25 in 14 games). Both let in 18 of them after half time - more than the Gills (14) and 8 other League 2 sides have conceded across all 90 minutes.
- Bristol Rovers have failed to score in 3 of their 7 home league games, the joint highest in League 2. In all competitions, they have failed to score in 4 of their 9 home games and have lost 4 of them. They have kept 2 home clean sheets but conceded 4 goals in 3 games.
- Bristol Rovers have managed the joint fewest shots on target (36) in League 2. Both they and the Gills managed 17 in their first 6 league games but it has been 19 and 39 respectively in the 8 played since. The last 6 games saw the Gills managed 92 attempts at goal (on and off target) to Rovers' 45.
