- The Gills lead the wins over Lincoln 20 to 16 and 13 of the meetings were level. The Gills are unbeaten in their last 2 trips to Lincoln (0-0 last season and a 4-0 win in April 2011) and Lincoln won the match before those in October 2008.
- 3rd placed Lincoln have lost 9 league matches this season and only Sunderland in 4th have lost fewer league games (5). 6 of Lincoln's defeats have come in their last 12 league games at home.
- Lincoln conceded just 2 goals in 11 away league matches (9 clean sheets) before letting in 6 in the most recent 3 including a 3-4 defeat by Plymouth. At home, they have managed 1 clean sheet in 13 home league games, a spell which saw 21 goals conceded.
- The Gills had kept a clean sheet in their previous 3 meetings with Lincoln before City won the reverse fixture 3-0. The Gills had managed 7 clean sheets in the last 12 games played between the sides. The Gills have kept 6 league clean sheets this season whilst Lincoln have kept 14.
- 68% of Lincoln's league goals have come in the second halves of matches. Their 36 is the most of any side in League 1 this season and is 13 more than the second half goals scored by the Gills.

19.00 Kick Off [ 4 - 4 - 2 ]

19.03
A very dangerous ball for the hosts flashes across the penalty area where any touch would have been 1-0.

19.05
Lincoln looking to avenge a poor recent home form which has seen them drop into the playoffs. Another dangerous ball into the box is flicked on and trickles wide of the post.

19.09
Lincoln looking very dangerous. A City player goes down in the box and stays down but no foul given.

19.10
GOAL! Lincoln City 0-1 Gillingham: Oliver
Both the Gills and Lincoln have won 3 and drawn 3 league games this season after conceding the first goal. The Gills have won all 5 away matches after scoring first.

19.20
GOAL! Lincoln City 0-2 Gillingham: Dempsey

19.30
Akinde does really well to create space for a left footed shot, this is saved. It comes to Graham whose right footed effort is brilliantly parried away before MacDonald fires over from 10 yards.

19.32
A Lincoln shot goes just wide of the post.

19.43
Akinde should have made it 3! His effort is cleared off the line.

19.47 Half time 0-2

20.02
The second half kicks off.

20.19
A very fierce Lincoln drive is met at full stretch by Bonham who pushes the ball onto the bar and away for a corner.

20.31
A Lincoln player goes down in the box but no penalty is given.

20.32
Akinde clatters into the Lincoln 'keeper very late and receives a yellow card. The Lincoln commentators are certain it is a red after he "wiped him out".

20.43
Penalty! Jordan Graham is fouled inside the box.

20.44
GOAL! Lincoln City 0-3 Gillingham: Graham (pen)

20.49
Akinde lets fly but his shot needs a good save from the 'keeper.

20.52 FULL TIME 0-3

Wow! Payback for their 3-0 win at Priestfield only a short while ago.

Except no one saw this and the other game was ON TV, lol. Well done the Gills, jjjeeezz is this going to be a season that ends with a IF ONLY, as in if only we had beaten Wimbledon or Burton. Fingers crossed a win against Donny on Saturday and a loss by a team that thinks it's in Kent but it isn't , and we could, just might, maybe ,be in the ssshhhhhhhh top six. How wonderful would that be ? GO the Wombles.

A very good and surprising win! I would have been pleased with a point, but we thoroughly deserved all three points.Three goals scored again, and a goal each for Oliver,Dempsey, and Graham.I know Lincoln have entered a bad patch, but they’re a decent side and are still up there. We’re two points off the play off’s! I know Teams have games in hand, but it’s great to be in this position.Doncaster at home next, and hopefully we can continue this great form.
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).

If playoffs are a possibility, we better be allowed into Wembley. My son's first season last season ended very abruptly and this season...well, there has been nothing of it yet and to miss a big showcase final would be gutting!
