- Burton have lost their last 5 league games (after 3 successive draws) and have conceded 19 goals in them. They have conceded 50 goals in their 22 league games with 7 games seeing 3 or more conceded. The Gills have conceded 3+ in 1 league game this season.
- Along with Plymouth, Burton have failed to win any away league matches this season and are winless in 13 league matches on their travels. The last win on the road was the first of 3 wins achieved in 32 league games following 6 matches which saw 5 wins.
- Burton are the only side to have not kept a league clean sheet this season and haven't kept one in 28 league games - the last being in a 0-0 against the Gills.

13.02 Kick Off [ 4 - 3 - 3 ]

14.13

14.21
Vadaine Oliver slots the ball home but is flagged offside.

14.35
GOAL! Gillingham 0-1 Burton Albion: Carter
Despite their woes, Burton have scored first in 7 of the league matches this season, 1 fewer than the Gills, but have only won 2 of those games (drawing all 3 away from home).

14.49 Half time 0-1 (47:02)
Burton half only led at half time in 3 league games this season, winning 1, drawing and losing 1 (1 draw away from home). The Gills have been behind at the break in 8, losing 7 (all 3 at home) and drawing 1.

15.06
The second half kicks off.

15.23

15.26
A floated header by Burton loops onto the bottom of the left post.

15.40

Stuart O'Keefe was out for the season and Evans said he returned to light training this week far beyond when I thought we would see him next. He is on the bench!!!!!

Very hard to see how this could be worse; losing at home, without scoring, to the team with the worst defensive record in the entire football league.

Well that's been Gillingham FC for years, play tough against the top teams ,act the idiots against the bottom feeders. At least Burton are in the same Division as us,and ny given Saturday and team can win, and we had an almost full squad, poor old Derby had NONE of there first team squad on the field, and only a couple of their under 23 squad. How the FA made them play this game I do not know, totally ridiculous to make a team field a starting 11 where 9 players had never played a senior game before.

Benefit of the doubt, they win thanks to new manager syndrome but in all honesty, we had players who looked very comfortable on the ball, able to attack at will but created virtually nothing.

This defeat hurt more than any for ages. They’re bottom of the league, had conceded for 34 games in a row,and had two wins all season before they played us.I was expecting us to come out the traps quick and get an early goal.Like many games this season,we tend to have one good half.We had good chances late on,which we should have taken.

Hopefully we get some players in this week to replace the three we have lost.Hopefully they will be an improvement.
