Let's see how good we are at Trivia. Whoever gets the answer right first sets the next question so here we go :-

Who is the only English player to play for his club, captain his club, manage his club, play for his country and play against his country ?

Ok I am not looking at google or anything on the computer, lets try and figure this out ??
Forget the first bit, if he captained the team he played for it and quite a few great players have gone on to manage their club and played for England. Keegan, John Terry he isn't a manager is he did he temp manage a team ? Gigs played for Wales , he manage Man Utd for a little while ? Souness played for Scotland, it seems anyone that played for Newcastle gets a chance to manage the team. Kenny Dalglish didn't play for England
Crystal Palace had Alan Pardew as a manager I think , what about Hodgson he speaks like 2 or 3 different languages , did he ever play for England , he wasn't very good as a player because he was a teacher I think when he played at Maidstone ,did he manage them as well ?? Did he play for England as an amature, like a touring team or something playing in like Russia before it opened up ?
It's been a long time since players could change teams and play for another country hasn't it , unless there African or there going to play for Qatar in the World Cup ?
OK I have done to much " thunking " and MASHA AND THE BEAR has come on Cartoonito , one hour of Thomas the Tank Engine (and the new episodes start in April) followed by Masha and the Bear, what could be better?
Hold on a second just one more thought, did this person have to play FOOTBALL against England , maybe he played cricket, if it was cricket were probably going back to the 1890's when the person played for say England at football and Australia at cricket , OR RUGBY , against England ?
My guess Mr Lidbit he plays cricket and I am sure played football at school. Yes that my final answer , MR LIDBIT.

OK it is now 3 AM Saturday morning, I sat there till like 8pm last night thinking about this and when I woke up just now because of one Mother of a Thunderstorm going on , the person I laid there thinking about was OUR VERY OWN PETER TAYLOR, he managed England then went to INDIA and Australia or New Zealand and my bet is he played in a charity football match or cricket match against AN ENGLAND ALL STAR TEAM of old has beens, for someone's testimonial in India ,Australia or New Zealand ?
OK that's my new final answer, Mr Bunbury, aka Peter Taylor.

OK so someone that played for a team in Yugoslavia as a 16 year old and played one International game against someone in like early 1989 just before the Civil War started because there was a shortage of players they were being called up to join the army. He had an English Mother and a Yugoslavian Father who got killed in the fighting. The Mother and the player were looking for came to the UK as refugees, Mother got married again and son took Mothers nationality and the new Fathers surname , so he became English, and because he was a refugee from a war he was allowed to play for England.
So it's going to be an overseas player with Yugoslavian first name and an English surname ?? OK I have changed my guess to Mr. Garawa Smith, you can't get more Yugoslavian than Garawa, it was the most popular boys name in the country in the 70's and 80's , every boy was being named GARAWA, after Yugoslavia's first porn star Garawa Jelavich.
I work with a guy called Jelavich, he is from Bosnia which used to be Yugoslavia, so my guess is our own Mr Garawa. You sly old devil , you never told us you played for England and you were a porn star, no wonder every time I see Mrs Garawa and say how are you love she just smiles and says FFFIINNEEE TTHHHAAANNKKKYYOOUU, he was home last night and has a big smile on her face. So my guess has change to our own Mr Garawa ??

Haha I still don't know the answer but there is a reason people use Google, lol. We are in my office ( yes I know it's Saturday but with no footie on I might as well be here, lol)
I was talking to the only other English guy that works here and he thinks it's " old what's his name", hahahaha, who was the manager for Ipswich and Newcastle. By whats his name he ment Robson , and I think that might be a good guess ? I know he spoke with an accent, was he from Scotland , but why if he was did he play for England, and then change to play for Scotland, and anyway I think he played in the 60's not 80'S
