- The Gills have only won 7 of the 24 meeting with Tranmere whilst the hosts have won 13. The Gills last win against Rovers came in their last away trip there - a 2-1 win in December 2013.
- The Gills won both matches when we last faced Tranmere in the league (2013/14). Tranmere won both meeting in the 2 seasons before (2009/10 and 2007/8) whilst the Gills won both meetings before those (2006/7). Both games in 2005/6 were drawn.
- Excluding a blank sheet in the 2007/8 season, the Gills have scored at least 2 goals away at Tranmere in 5 of their last 6 trips there and they have scored in 7 out of 8 trips.
- Both sides have won 1 of their 5 league games this season - a 5-0 win at home to Bolton for both the Gills and Tranmere. For Rovers, it is 2 wins in 12 regular league games (excluding playoffs) either side of their promotion.
- Since winning 6 out of 7 home games in all competitions last season, Tranmere have subsequently won 2 out of 6 and conceded 3 goals in 2 of their 3 home matches this season.
- The Gills have conceded 6 first half league goals and are the only side in the division yet to have conceded a second half goal. Tranmere have conceded 5.

That should be a fun journey ,some good football minds in that car,I hope by the time you get to Tranmere you have sorted all the Gills problems out, and you can get into the Gills dressing room to hand the paper FOM wrote to Evans.
Tranmere is near Liverpool right ??

I don't know about everyone else but I miss FOM's reports and analysts. I used to know what all the players were like, now I haven't a clue. Come back please.

Another point for the Gills, was it one gained or two lost ? Still much to close to the bottom of the table for my liking with Wycombe coming up next. Not the start I expected, but I hear Evans got fired up today, so maybe he will light a fire under the players butts.

Well, we are now 10 games in, with just one win against Bolton's apprentices to show for it. Nothing, I'm sorry to say, that merits all the Evans/Scally bluster. I have a feeing it won't be long before we get the first PR diversionary tactic; choose from investors in Dubai, move to a new ground, how unfair the fans are being.

We seem to be creating a lot (far more than last season) and look a very dangerous side. Good sides are struggling to contain us yet we appear to capitulate too often. Is that fatigue, game management or no change in tactics that allow sides to figure us out at half time? I really don't know but that is now 3 times we have drawn 2-2 when were 2-0 up in 2 games and lead twice in the other. We also led at home to Burton before losing 2-1.

We have a pretty good midfield now and scoring shouldn't be a problem (we have 11 goals, only a couple behind sides at the top but most have played a game less) but we need to be able to see out games better.

Good midfield,we had better have, we put 10 midfield players and a keeper on the pitch each game, our midfield squad is bigger than Manchester City's.
I think were better than last year and the year before, I still have hope for a top 6 finish, three points from the game we have in hand would put us within striking distance of the top 6.
Playing Wycombe, Bristol and Ipswich in the next three might not be easy, but it could be the start of the Gills climb to the top if we could take 6 or 7 out of the 9 available, might just be the kick start the mighty Blues need. Go Gills.

It was a game of two halves. They hit the post in the first half, but other than that we were the better Team in the first half.We went in 0-2 up,but should have killed the game.In the second half as expected Tranmere were better.A soft penalty was given,Bonham made a great save but we didn’t defend the corner and they pulled one back.We invited them onto us,and they equalised not long after. They nearly won it late on too.I would have taken a point at first, but after leading 0-2 it feels more like two points dropped.
