Should we be worried about losing Bradley Dack?

Postby fred52 » Sat Nov 28, 2015 10:24 pm

Hi All,

I think that Bradley Dack has been superb for us this season, what do you think?

Midfielders that both score and create goals tend to be in high demand, so I'm wondering if a Premier League club may make such a move in Jan.

I found an article online that suggests that will be the case!

As long as we buy two players to replace him, a goal scorer and a mid fielder we will be OK, if Scally spends the money on two racing camels instead, were in trouble.
I would like to see us get at least one player in exchange for losing such a talented player as Dack, plus cash, lots and lots of cash.

Welcome to the board Fred. Its a tricky one, players like Lampard etc are few and far between and highly sought after. I would doubt he would make that high but then I also doubted Dele Alli would even start a league game for them!

It would be down to the player if he decided to earn big bucks playing reserve football or try to cement a place in a top championship side. I don't know how ambitious his agent is but they aren't many that go higher and stay there. We have found many former players drop to teams below us after looking like great things. Personally I wonder if his long contract may be the big stumbling block. It would be expensive to buy out and that might rule out only the most affluent clubs but they may be unwilling to try such amounts on a player unproven at that level. It could be the lure of a long contract that he signed may be the thing that prevents him moving on. If he does we would be daft to refuse the money or stand in his way. Win, win in either account. Given more time on the ball you get in EPL he might do very well there!
