- The Gills are winless in 3 meetings with Carlisle after the reverse fixture was lost and and there was a draw and a defeat in the FA Cup in the previous season they met in (2017/8). The last league meetings back in 2013/4 saw the Gills win both fixtures.
- Between the sides, they have won 18 of the most recent 30 league games (Carlisle have won 10 out of 16 whilst the Gills have won 8 out of 14). Both sides have lost 3 league games during those respective spells.
- Carlisle have drawn their last 2 games 0-0 after 4 successive wins. At home, they have won 2 and drawn 1 without conceding (following 0-4 and 0-1 losses at home to Mansfield and Harrogate respectively) but are unbeaten in 5 on the road, winning 3 of them.
- Carlisle are League 2's highest scorest with 58 (29 1st half and 29 2nd half goals). Their first half total is the joint highest in the division alongside Salford but they managed 2 in 4 games (none in the last 3) since scoring 4 and have not conceded any in 6 since conceding 4.
- Carlisle have neither won the fewest number of fouls in the division nor conceded the fewest however League 2 games involving Carlisle have witnessed the fewest numbers of fouls in the match with 703 (an average of 19 won and conceded for each of their games).
- 8 of the Gills' 10 home leads this season have been earned in their last 7 games at Priestfield. Carlisle have given away 8 leads in their away league games this season and only 1 of those have come in their last 7 on the road.
