Postby Garawa » Wed Dec 07, 2022 8:12 pm

- The sides last met in the 2010/11 season. Stockport lead the wins 15 to 13 after the Gills won both of the meetings in that season. There have been 12 draws with the last 2 being 0-0.
- The Gills won their last visit to Stockport 5-1 in January 2011 and are unbeaten in 10 meetings against them (6 wins). They last lost to Stockport in August 2000 (a home game) and have won 4 and drawn 2 of their trips to Stockport since the last defeat there in September 1996.
- In all competitions, Stockport won 3 and lost 8 of their opening 15 matches. Since then, they have won 17 and lost just 6 of the 28 league and cup games. They have won 7 of their last 10 home league and cup games and are unbeaten in 7 at home, winning 5 of them.
- Stockport have only failed to score in 7 of their 34 league matches - four 0-0 draws and three 0-1 defeats. Those 7 in total and 3 at home are the joint second fewest totals in League 2. 5 of those blank sheets have come in their last 12 league games.
- Stockport have scored 28 second half goals and only Mansfield (29) have scored more. Stockport have scored 7 more second half goals than the Gills have managed in their first and second halves combined. Neither side have scored a second half goal in their last 2 games.
- In all league games, when Stockport fall behind in the match, they are behind for an average of 28.0 minutes which is the shortest length of time in League 2.

(19.47) Kick Off [ 5 - 3 - 2 ]

(20.16) A whipped in cross needs the merest of touches for simple tap in but somehow Morris gets a hand to it first to prevent the opening goal.

(20.26) A series of attempts ends with an acrobatic effort which Tutonda brilliant blocks.

(20.30) Stockport hits the post.

(20.33) Half time 0-0

(20.51) The second half kicks off.

(21.04) A Stockport header travels across the face of goal, beats Morris and kisses the outside edge of the far post before going out for a goal kick.

(21.22) The Gills make a quadruple substitution, bringing on Hawkins, Lapslie, Williams and MacDonald.

(21.26) Another last ditch block from Tutonda denies a very good chance for the hosts to score.

(21.33) A shot across Morris once again sees him get a fabulous and vital touch away with his fingertips to keep the Gills in with a point.

(21.40) FULL TIME 0-0

Well it was another point but I am sorry that seemed to be a pretty pathetic display from Gillingham, 2 shot off target against Stockports 17, and none on target for the G, 26% possession, jjeezzz, thank God we got the point, should be safe now.
