- The last 3 meetings between the Gills and Grimsby have ended 3-0 to the home side. The Gills have won 5 and lost 1 of the last 7 meetings.
- The Gills won 1, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their last 3 visits to Grimsby. They lost their last visit and the last win came back in September 2001.
- Grimsby have won 4 games this season in all competitions. The last 3 have all come away from home and the home win came in the first round of the EFL cup.
- The Gills are the only side in League 2 yet to score a second half goal. Grimsby are the only side in the division yet to score a first half goal and just 1 has been scored in total during the first halves of their 6 league games this season.

(19.46) Kick Off [ 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 ]
The game starts after a minutes silence and rendition of God Save the King following the death of Queen Elizabeth.

(19.52) GOAL! Grimsby Town 1-0 Gillingham: Taylor
The Gills part clear a corner but allow a follow-up which is blocked and cleared as far as the edge of the box. Another half shot bounces between players, Morris doesn't gather cleanly and the ball is tapped home.

(19.59) GOAL! Grimsby Town 1-1 Gillingham: Mandron

(20.08) Kasket on the right of the box turns onto his left foot and fires a fierce shot at goal which the 'keeper fists away.

(20.21) Mandron heads strongly into the top corner of the net but the goal is ruled out for climbing.

(20.24) Grimsby smash a piledriver off the underside of the crossbar. The ball bounces away and Morris makes a great stop to prevent the rebound from being put in the net.

(20.32) Half time 1-1

(20.49) The second half kicks off.

(20.51) Adelakun drives in a driven cross along the pitch from the right of the box. Gills players at the near and far post attempt to flick the ball in and stretch for it but it's too quick.

(20.55) Grimsby find a pass between defenders and the ball evades Morris. It is poked tamely across goal and Law twists himself to clear off the line.

(21.00) The Gills get into all sorts of a mess in the box. A shot could have caught the defence flat footed before a follow-up is not dealt with after the high ball was out of reach. It falls on the edge of the box but Grimsby cannot make us pay. Still not clear, a spot of pin ball right in front of Morris only prevents a goal by the sheer numbers of defenders deep on the edge of the 6 yard box.

(20.05) Good switching of feet by Mandron inside the D allows him to get a shot away but he is stretching slightly and the 'keeper makes a good save.

(21.22) Green dances his way in the box, round a defender and then the 'keeper but so close to goal, he cannot pick out anyone to finish. Grimsby counter-attack and Adelakun is booked for pulling the man down on the half way line.

(21.35) A lovely switch of feet allows a drilled cross through the 6 yard box. Mandron puts the ball in the net for a third time but is offside.

(21.38) FULL TIME 1-1

Well we made it to half time, looking at the "running table", were one spot off of the drop zone, HOW SAD,but it is NOT the Chairman's Fault,it's the tea lady at the away ends fault, yes that away end,the one without a roof, as it was in 1893, hard to imagine in almost 130 years we have not had an owner that could put a roof over the away fans heads isn't it ?
