- The Gills lead the wins over Oxford 20 to 15 (15 draws) but have only won twice in the last 15 meetings.
- The Gills won this fixture last season 3-1 and are unbeaten in 4 against Oxford at Priestfield. These matches followed 3 consecutive home defeats against them in all competitions.
- The last 4 games against Oxford have seen both sides score in each game with 13 scored in total (7 for the Gills). This followed 15 games where only 19 goals were scored and there were 16 clean sheets.
- Oxford lost their last 2 away league games 0-2 (at Wycombe and Lincoln) and followed 2 away league wins by a 2-1 scoreline (MK Dons and Doncaster). Those defeats are only 2 of 3 in their last 18 games in all competitions however those defeats have come in the last 6.

I was invited to the sponsor’s box again this afternoon but I turned it down. To be honest, I couldn’t be bothered. I’ve never been so pleased with myself!! I would never have dreamed that I would say that 5 or 6 years ago. I dread to think what the atmosphere was like.

We had as many shots ,and as many shots on Target as Oxford, we had six or seven corners to their one , 40% of the time of possession compared with the 25 or 30 % we used to get under Evans , so take away the FOUR penalties and we lost 3-2. Now the question is , were the four penalties just pure stupidity of a poorly coached and idiotic team who don't give a damn, or were they because the team was genuinely playing hard, flat out football, trying to do their best to get a win ?
I can not see us surviving in the third division, I just hope we can bring a manager and players in and stop slide from the Fourth to the National ,like Southend, Notts Cnty, Aldershot, because if that happens it will be the end of GFC, greedy ,cheating, tax avoiding Scally, won't be able to give himself another massive pay rise like he did this year, when he should have spent the money on players,so he will fold the team.
Maybe his plan IS to let GFC go under ,perhaps he thinks the Gills supporters will go and support his beloved Charlton and increase their gate by a couple of thousand each home game, close the Gills stadium and build an old folks home in its place ?

I wonder how many will be at the next home game. It's looking grim.
