- Shrewsbury are unbeaten in their last 2 away league games (a 3-0 win at Fleetwood followed, most recently, by a 0-0 at Crewe). These followed 12 League 1 games on the road without a win which saw 10 defeats.

(19.45) Kick Off [ 4 - 1 - 3 - 2 ]

(20.06) A scramble in the box ends with Dahlberg going down, Ehmer appearing to handle the ball off the line and an open goal to score in. The play is eventually pulled back for a foul on the Gills' goalkeeper.

(20.08) Dempsey flicks the ball back towards his own goal and plays onside Udoh who strides forward and shoots across the face of the goal and out for a throw.

(20.13) Udoh goes through and Ehmer pulls him down on the edge of the box. Ehmer somehow survives with only a yellow card.

(20.31) Half time 0-0

(20.47) The second half kicks off.

(20.49) Ehmer challenges and goes down in pain. 2 against 1, the Shrewsbury attack is stopped when the ball is squared instead of sent goalward and the offside flag goes up.

(20.55) Akinde has a great chance to score but he side foots high over the bar from the edge of the box.

(21.03) Phillips has a long shot which just nestles into the side netting.

(21.05) Ebanks-Landell gives the ball away and Dempsey has a chance to get in on goal but the defender redeems himself with a great challenge.

(21.25) Moments after coming on as a sub, Danny Lloyd slams a free kick a long way from goal off the top of the right hand post and out for a goal kick.

(21.26) Olly Lee catches the 'keeper out when he receives the ball 30 yards from goal and sends a first time chipped shot towards goal which the 'keeper somehow tips over the bar.

(21.30) The Gills work a good space for a shot and play in Kelman who, on his wrong foot, puts the shot just over the bar.

(21.36) FULL TIME 0-0

NO,,NO, please ,it's too soon for the Gills to have to play again. OK lads time to pull your socks up and play like you did between the 50th and 75th minute against Wiggly Wigan, and the way you played up front against Burton with 13 shots and 5 on target, with 6 corners, play like that and defend well , we will have 3 wonderful points to help towards us playing in the 3rd division next season, not the 4th. GO GILLS.

Reading a couple of reports on the match who ever was watching seemed to think I was a dismal game, I guess with 75% of the stadium empty it must have seemed it,but the Gills had 13 shots ,ok only 3 on target ,but The Shrews only had 4 shots and 1 on target, so surely we must be going in the right direction ? A point is a point, we just need to string a couple of wins together.
Gillingham have FIVE home games out of the next Seven , and two of those are against cellar dwellers, Crewe and The Wombles even one of the two away games is against a cellar dweller in Morecambe . Were home to Cambridge, and although there mid table they leak goals, and then there is Plymouth who are shakey to say the least ,draw, lose ,lose, win ,win, and then there's Ipswich who under a new manager have gone from sitting next to the Gills way ,way down the table only a few weeks ago and are now sitting on the edge of a playoff spot. Come on you Gills, 21 points are available in these games lets get 14 or 15 and get out of the drop zone .
