- Wigan have suffered 9 defeats in 15 league games but have 2 wins and 2 draws from their last 5. Those 15 games have returned 14 points with 10 of those coming in their away games.
- Wigan have conceded 5 goals in a home league game 3 times this season but have not conceded more than 3 in any of their away league matches. Wigan sit 16th in the away league table with 21 points, 7 more than their home total and 6 fewer than the Gills' away total.
- Wigan have taken the fewest shots on target in League 1 (101), 46 fewer than the Gills, and have faced the most shots on target (182), 17 more than the Gills.
- Wigan's 16 first half goals scored is the joint lowest total in the division and their 38 second half goals conceded is the joint highest total in the division.
- Wigan drop the most percentage of points in the division after scoring the first goal - 45.8% of their points were lost after getting the opening goal (win 8, drawn 2 and lost 6). Incredibly, they were only leading by the break 6 times and are unbeaten when doing so (5 wins, 1 draw).

Exactly what I expected from the Gills, three points the hard way by the sounds of it, never mind 3 is 3, and now off to Blackpool, donkey rides, A Punch and Garawa Show on the beach , That's The Way To Do It , I expect the Gills will win by at least 2 goals ,GO GILLS.

A big hard fought 3 points.Wigan had some good chances to score in the game, but fortunately didn’t take any.Oliver took our big chance with a great header to put us 1-0 up late in the second half.A big three points that put us 6th for a couple of days.It will be hard to stay there, but it’s great to be there for a little bit at this stage of the season.
