No possession but that doesn't seem to matter, at least we had five shots on goal. Sunderland, Crewe,Lincoln and Charlton coming up , well I know it has only been 9 not 10 games but to be honest I think GFC are what I thought they were going to be, a lower middle of the table side, I just hope Scally and the Football League find a way to keep us afloat for the rest of the season.

Its been a weird few games really. 2 where we just didn't perform and barely had a shot at goal. Then the last two where we had spells where we offered very little, then, just as we come alive and started bossing the game, we get hit and end up losing without scoring. Luck isn't going our way and we need to find a way of turning it in our favour very soon.

Gillingham were denied a deserved point against League 1 heavyweights Ipswich Town on Tuesday night and picked up injuries to key men too.

Goalkeeper Jack Bonham and defender Ryan Jackson both limped out of the match at Portman Road before Teddy Bishop scored a winner four minutes from time. Gillingham almost snatched a point but Vadaine Oliver’s stoppage-time header struck the woodwork.

Gillingham boss Steve Evans couldn’t believe he was leaving Portman Road empty handed.

The Gills were beaten by a late goal, scored by Teddy Bishop, but Evans described how they battered a side hotly tipped for promotion this season.

A “terrible” refereeing performance didn’t help the Gillingham's chances on Tuesday night, said boss Steve Evans.

His team gave Ipswich Town a run for their money before conceding a late goal which settled the match.

Loan defender Zech Medley came face to face with one of his Arsenal team-mates on Tuesday night.

Mark McGuinness was making his league debut at the back for opponents Ipswich Town and Medley enjoyed the battle - even if he didn’t enjoy the result.

Gillingham slumped to their fourth goal less defeat in a row as Portman Road once again proved to be a depressingly familiar ground as an 86th minute wonder strike condemned Steve Evans’ side to more Suffolk sorrow at the hands of Ipswich Town.

Whilst we had good spells and should have scored, so should Ipswich so Evans is a bit bold in saying we battered them. If you don't take the chances that come your way, you get beat of the other side does.

In fact, click the link above next to "Match Highlights" and you'll see that chances that Ipswich had. Infuriatingly, they don't show many of the ones we had but maybe that's because ours weren't as clear cut?!

I watched the game on Ifollow. For our improved second half performance I thought another defeat was harsh.Gutted that Bonham, and Jackson went off injured.Hope it’s not too serious as we were threadbare as it was! 4 straight defeats with no goals is a concern, just hope it doesn’t become 5 or 6 straight defeats.

I honestly don't see how with only 29% of the possession we could have possibly put a lot of pressure on them, but it seems from the Sky report it could have ended up a 2-2 game, which considering we did bugger all in the First Half means we must have had at least SOME possession in the second half.
What evil bastard gave us Ipswich, Sunderland ,Crewe (maybe a point there), Lincoln and Charlton on the bounce, scary thing is we might struggle to pick up a point or two the way were playing. A win on Saturday in front of a silent stadium would do the Gills players confidence a world of good, but another loss and ??
