- Before a draw and a win against Sunderland this season, the Gills had only drawn 1 and lost 6 of their previous 7 meetings. In those games, Sunderland had scored 20 goals whilst the Gills managed 7.
- Sunderland have scored 1 goal in 2 games against the Gills this season. This comes after they had scored 4 goals in both of their wins last season and also scored 4 goals in both of their previous 2 visits to Priestfield.
- The Gills longest run of home league goals scored is 7. In league and cup games, the Doncaster match also saw the Gills score their 5th, 6th and 7th goals at home without reply. The longest in the last 3 seasons has been 7, 4 and 6.
- The Gills have kept 4 consecutive home clean sheets (3 in cup games) whilst Sunderland, along with AFC Wimbledon, are the only League 1 sides to have conceded in all their away league games so far this season.
- Sunderland have lost their last 3 away league games without scoring and are winless in 6 in all competitions. Their 1-0 home win over Southend is their only win in 9 in all competitions. The Gills have 5 wins in 8 in all competitions.
- Sunderland's last away match was the 0-1 FA Cup defeat at Priestfield last month. It was their 5th defeat and 5th blank sheet from their last 6 away games in all competitions. The other was an EFL cup 1-1 draw at Oxford.

Only saw the result as was away, but another good win and clean sheet at home.I think Sunderland are fed up playing us! A decent finish from Ogilvie, and you could see there was great scenes from Twitter.Hopefully we can continue the good form at Fleetwood.
