Looks like it is going to be the perfect night to go to a footie game, and especially to see the Mighty Gills playing a team like Sunderland, I sure hope the fans turn out by the thousands to watch the Gills get a win, I for one will be on the "scrolls" reading the game, somehow not as exciting as hanging from the floodlights at the Rainham end as it was back in 1963, lol, with 15,000 people watching us whip Burys butts in the Cup the night the flood lights came on for the first time, (what happened to them) lol, Bury not the light's.
I have just looked at footballstadiumsinfo.co.uk there is a great picture of the stadium taken from the air. Whats the small piece of land behind the Rainham end used for, and the large grass area to the North East of the Stadium, is that where the new stadium ( haha) would be built ?
I guess I as much as anyone ,if not more so are very quick to criticise Scally but I was looking at that 1963 season just now teams The Gills played in 1963, that have gone on to bigger and better things and teams that are ??

Brighton and Hove Albion.

Bradford Park Ave
Southport, Hartlepool,
Halifax, Mr. L's favorite team Torquay,
Chester, York, Barrow,
Workington, Chesterfield,
Aldershot and Stockport.
Makes you wonder, where would we be now, which road would we have taken if we had got an owner that invested heavily in the Gills, or if we got an owner that didn't, or if we got one that just kept us afloat with not a lot of interest, just wanted to say he owned a football club , then I wonder where we would be today ? My guess, probably in Division 3 in about 14th place hoping we beat Sunderland , yes THAT Sunderland, in a FA Cup replay, and praying we avoid relegation again.

I tell you something, reading Mr G's play by play commentary today really was about the most insight full or should I say spiteful thing that has happened to me in weeks.
Thanks for that today little buddy, the info from the first half alone, the depth and analysis of each play kept me on the edge of my seat all though the halftime period, amazing commentary ,just bloody amazing. Well done keep up the good work.

Three Thousand five hundred ,how disappointing, I thought he crowd would have been in the 6 or 7 thousands what did everyone stay home to see Wales play Hungary ?
So answer me this, if the price of admission had been say 12 pounds, 9 pounds and 6 pounds would we have had 6 or 7 thousand there tonight ?

WWWOOWWW HHOO Gills win,Gills win , thousands and thousands of people around Kent missed what sounded like the most exciting game of football for years at Priestfield, I guess i am very mistaken because I thought this was the FA CUP, but it appears with this much enfuziasms from the team and fans it turned out to be a Kent Senior Cup game.

It was dull Gillsfan. But professional I guess. 3 wins in a row and 3 clean sheets, lets make it 4 at Wimbledon.

I apologise with all my heart, lol, it never crossed my mind that an FA CUP match, infact any match in professional football could be this boring. I was ready to rip on everyone of the fans that went to see Gillingham play Shrewsbury at Wembley back in 2009, call them all out by name, publicly humiliate them , (well except the dead ones) , thank goodness I didn't, lol. Never mind round 2 coming up, another win for the GILLS, and then Manchester United in Round 3.

A good team performance. Not many chances, but as a team we battled well and defended very well. One goal always looked like it would be enough for either Team.Delighted we have gone through after extra time,it was worth braving the cold. We’re building a nice bit of form.
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).

Braving the cold, Braving the cold, it was 20 degrees below freezing, snow was falling in Chicago when I watched a game the weekend before last, and when that game finished I switched channels and watched the 3 pm game on NBC Sports, lol.
I didn't realize it was cold last night , the way the weather looked on the Weather Channel it looked a nice evening for footie. Of course once anyone fell asleep during the first half not realizing the game had already been on for 25 minutes, I guess when they woke up on the 90 minute mark wondering what, how , who and where the hell am I ,it felt very chilly, lol.
