- The Gills lead the wins over Oxford 19-13 (14 draws). Despite this, the Gills victory last season was their first in 10 meetings whilst Oxford had won 6 out of the last 8.
- 9 of the Gills last 16 meetings with Oxford have seen the winners secure a 1-0 win. A further 3 ended 0-0. None of the last 18 meetings have seen more than 3 goals scored - Oxford securing the biggest win in that period with a 3-0 home win.
- The Gills last win at Oxford was a 1-0 in November 2010 - a third successive victory away to Oxford. Since then, they have drawn 2 and lost their last 3 visits there, failing to score in all 5.
- After no sides last season scored more than 5 goals in the 552 League 1 games, Oxford were the 3rd side in 8 days to score 6 in a League 1 match (away to Lincoln). They followed this with a 4-0 win at home to West Ham. Their last 4 game goal difference is 13-0.
- Oxford have won their last 2 of their last 3 league games, their only wins in 8 in the league, however in all competitions they have won 4 out of 6 home and away and are unbeaten in 4.

No Joe Walsh in the side today so 48-year-old goalkeeping coach Simon Royce is on the bench!

A typical Gillingham side, get up to play Cardiff or Ipswich and don't bother to turn up against Oxford, bloody disgusting, they should be ashamed of themselves bunch of wussies. No more money in January from Scally is my bet, Evans gone before the end of the season, and Gillingham stay up by three points, if were lucky.

It did not sound good at all.3-0 now down at Halftime and could have been worse. It was good we didn’t completely crumble, but the performance was not good enough.Oxford are in great form, but we helped them out.Now we need a response against Southend.
