- The Gills record at home against Bolton stands at Won 3, Drawn 1 and Lost 4. The most recent 4 results have ended 0-4, 2-2, 1-4 and 0-1.
- The Gills haven't scored in 3 meetings with Bolton who have scored 10 goals themselves in those games. The Gills have conceded at least 2 goals against Bolton in each of the last 7 meetings (4 on 3 occasions) and last kept a clean sheet 11 meetings ago (May 1987).
- Bolton's troubles contributed to a run at the end of last season and the start of this that saw 21 defeats in 26 games. Their 0-0 draw with Coventry (who had 3 goals disallowed) this season broke what would have been 12 consecutive defeats.
- Bolton's last win came in March 2019 (away at QPR) but have since lost their last 6 away games, scoring 2 goals and conceding 19. Their last 2 meetings with the Gills saw them run out 4-0 winners.
- Bolton haven't scored a goal in 10 league games and conceded 24 during that period. They have conceded 5 goals in their last 3 games in all competitions
- Bolton have faced 39 shots on target in their 4 league games, an average of 9.8 per game (the Gills were the worst side in League 1 last season conceding 5.7 shots per game on average). Bolton have managed just 2 shots on target themselves (both in a 0-0 draw).

I’m pleased Bolton have been saved, but wish them well after our game! I expect they will still have the young Team playing that has been well beat.Hopefully we make a quick start, and don’t be sloppy at the back.We need to get off the mark, and there is a great chance to do so.

What a win, what a win, 5-0 to the GOOD GUYS, and were heading up the table away from the cellar, GO GILLS.
Just a passing comment to all Bolton Wanders supporters, enjoy your season, it could easily be the last now the team is owned by that Muppet Bassini , or what ever his name is this week.

Great to get a convincing win.It was a very inexperienced Bolton side, but we got the job done. That was Bolton’s fourth straight 5-0 defeat, but under hill and all the new players they have just signed they will improve.
