- Coventry lead the wins by 26-16 and there have only been 13 draws. City have only lost once in 21 home league matches against the Gills.
- The Gills draw at Coventry last season ended 4 successive defeats in away games to Coventry. They are winless in 8 visits (4 defeats) and the last win back in February 2002.
- Coventry have won 17 of the 28 home ties with the Gills in the Football League era. In the 1930s, the Gills won twice in a row there before losing 6-4, 4-2, 7-1, 4-0 and 4-0 in subsequent visits.
- After ending last season winless in 3 (and with 2 wins in 8), Coventry are unbeaten in 5 matches this season (3 wins).
- Coventry have faced the fewest shots on target (8) of all League 1 sides that have played 4 games. They have managed 20 themselves.
- Both the Gills (3/3) and Coventry (3/4) have yet to concede the opening goal in the league this season. The Gills have scored first in their 3 league games with all goals coming in the first halves but have yet to see a half time lead.

Anchor pub behind the coach station is a great place for a pre-match beer or two

I am still on the bus and drinking the cool -aid, but this is a very disappointing start to the season.Yes I know were playing teams at the top or near it, but I expected better than this from a Gillingham side and Steve Evans after Scally opened his check book to pay for Evans choice of players.
I am really looking forward to the Bolton match next weekend , I don't think anything more than a 4 or 5 goal win by the Gills will do to prove the Gills and Evans have got it right .

Beating Bolton's trainees won't prove anything about our prospects in League 1. So far there is no evidence to suggest that football's most disreputable partnership will succeed but it takes at least 10 games to make a fair assessment.

A 4 or 5 goal win might not prove anything, but a 2-2 draw and that stupid loss in the cup I think would prove that Evans and the management team have got it all wrong, that's what scares me more than anything.

We were shite in the first half and deserved to go a goal down.

Second half we made a fist of it but we were never going to get anything at the end. Line up suggests we came to not lose but that plan didn't work but on a positove note the weather was nice and the trains were on time :-)

Hahaha, love the positives, we were on the golf course from 7*30 this morning until 11*30,had lunch then played another 18 from 12*30 until 4 , and then played a quick nine money game from 4.15 until 5.45, and the temp was top 70's all day WITH NO HUMIDITY, which after July and August being 90 ++ degrees with 70% humidity was fantastic. Go Gills.

Disappointing to lose, but a slow start cost us.Lets hope we can get a result at home to Bolton. With their young squad,it would be disappointing if we didn’t.
