- This is the 54th meeting between the Gills and Coventry. Only 11 have ended in draws and there have been 16 Gills wins and 26 City wins. It is honours even in recent matches however with both sides winning 4 of the last 10 ties.
- The Gills are unbeaten in 5 at home to Coventry, the 4 wins ending 2-1, 3-1, 4-2 and 3-1. The game before saw City's last win at Priestfield - a 5-2 win in May 2004.
- The Gills last home win with a clean sheet against Coventry came back in September 1958. The only other clean sheet in the 9 home games against them since came in a 0-0.

I only saw the result, but from reading on Twitter it looks like we were lucky to get a point.Coventry had 26 shots to our 15.Strangely we both only had 4 on target! Luckily they didn`t have their shooting boots on.Perhaps two games in a few days took it out of us,but will take a point when we were second best.Hopefully Byrne and Cook`s injuries are not bad.

Think I have come to the conclusion that the lack of talent bought in over the summer is going to make it a long winter. We will beat the teams were supposed to beat, loses to the top 10 teams and draw with the middle feeders like were going to be. Shame but thats the Scally way we have become used to.
