OK good start, beating A Stanley a team that are relegation fodder and Burton a team predicted to be a top ten finisher, well done the GILLS. Next game Millwall in the Cup, which cup I don't know, then Walsall, Sunderland, Coventry and Portsmouth, if were still in the top 7 after the Ptsmth game then.... WERE GOING PLACES, ....GO GILLS.

I thought after their defender went off we had a lot of joy. They scored first with a header that felt like forever to go in.Eaves came on for the injured Parrett in the first half, and scored our equaliser not too long after! They looked good going forward, and we had to make some good blocks plenty of times to stop them taking the lead again.O`Neill put us in front at the Rainham end with a fantastic free kick.He is getting a good reputation for scoring them. Our best free kick taker since Joe Martin. From then on we played on the counter and had so much joy.Hanlan was denied so many times,he deserved a goal.We made it safe though when Hanlan`s shot was parried out for Eaves to finish.A very good performance again against a side that has good attacking players.Their defence looked suspect, but going forward will cause any Team problems in this league. Two decent wins which is more than I expected!
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).

Hanlan was immense, could easily have had 4 whilst playing a key part in all 3 goals. All those Gills fans that wrote him off as being a worthless kid in the summer. He looks an utter handful. I think the key was when Eaves came on personally, the defence just couldn't cope with the pair of them. Keep them fit and they could amass a partnership of 35 goals easily I reckon.
