Rochdale (A) - 19th Mar 13

Postby Garawa » Tue Mar 19, 2013 3:10 pm

- The away league defence for both sides is quite the opposite. The Gills have shipped the fewest with 11 whilst Rochdale the most with 39

- Rochdale have scored more goals in their last home match (a 4-1 win v Wycombe) than they have scored in their last 7 away games

- Spotlands saw a crowd of only 1,979 watch the 4-1 win over Wycombe and before that only 1,780 saw them lose 3-0 to Accrington. Their season average of 2,288 is higher than only Barnet, Aldershot, Morecambe, Dagenham and Accrington.

- The home side have won 4 league away games in a row; twice followed up away wins with another win but have yet to do back-to-back home wins

- The hosts currently have the most shots at goal of any L2 side with 487 (233 on target), 62 more shots than the Gills. Scoring only 2 fewer goals it means they score from 11.1% of their attempts at goal compared with the Gills 13.2%

- Bobby Grant is top scorer in the side but is highly wasteful, scoring only 13 goals from a whopping 114 attempts at goal (59 on target). Ashley Grimes however has scored 10 goals from only 56 attempts (25 of those on target).

- Rochdale achieved 5 clean sheets from their opening 8 home league matches but have only managed 1 from the last 10

- So far vs last season's relegated League 1 clubs, the Gills have drawn with 1 & beaten 2 away from home but only drew 1 & lost 3 at home

- Until last week, Rochdale was the team in League 2 to see goals. Currently 2nd with 114 goals, its 28 more than goals scored in Gills games. The team witnessing the fewest goals is Chesterfield with only 80 scored – 44 of them scored and 36 conceded.
