- Before today, the Gills had been ahead for the shortest period of time at home (a total of 147 minutes) whilst Rochdale had been ahead for the shortest period of time away (a total of 70 minutes).
- The Gills have 31 points after 26 league games. At the same point last season the club had 30, taking just 4 wins from the final 20 matches. The next 7 games resulted in 6 draws and 1 defeat.

Gillingham and Rochdale drawn more games than the rest of the table put together, a Bristol score line not a Bury score line will do nicely. No reason after a couple of weeks off for Gillingham not to beat a pretty poor R'dale team.
Amazing but when you look at the home and away tables where both R'dale and Gillingham sit in 23rd place, only difference is we have 13 points from home games and R'dale have 5 points from away games all draws and not a single away win on the season , but no worries about this game, big win for THE GILLS .

Well we`re back in action after a 12 day break,it`s good to have Gills back.Hopefully the break has not ruined our momentum, and we can build on our decent Christmas results.Rochdale are struggling in the bottom 4 at the moment, but even with our good form we will need to be on our game.We do seem to struggle against sides below us this season.Hopefully we can get the points and move a bit more up the table.

Rochdale have signed 2 new players ready for us, we have lost one in Clare, having suffered our biggest loss of the season at their place we owe them one, I just hope we can break down their defence without getting caught on the break

Bill Knott, came off the bench and almost did!!!

Desrved win just about. Their first should never have been scored after Eaves virtually had the shirt ripped from his back. I think the ref realised the goal came from a foul by not blowing up for a blantant push by Martin in the next Gills attack. Yet another game where Eaves was yanked, pushed, twisted, pulled with no foul awarded but gave away ones for the slightest of touches. Feel sorry for him.

Only 20 times out of the 324 League 1 games played have the away side lost having scored first. Rochdale account for 4 of those 20 having lost all their away games when scoring first. That's bad and we HAD to keep that run going. Get a bit of a run at home and we will be a solid side again, can't rely on away form to keep our momentum going.

An important win at home. With no game for 12 games it can go against you,as it has in the past.Good character to turn it around from 0-1 down yesterday.Only our third home league win of the season,so hopefully we can get more of them now.Good to continue the decent Christmas form and move up to 14th.
