- Since the Gills only win against Fleetwood (a 5-1 home win) they have lost the last 3 meetings and 5 of the 8 matches we have played against them.
- The Gills best result at Fleetwood was a 2-2 draw in their first trip there (March 2013). The 3 visits since saw 3 defeats.
- Fleetwood scored in each of their opening 13 league games but have failed to score in 4 of their last 6.
- Just 2 clean sheets have been kept in the 8 meetings between the Gills and Fleetwood. Both were kept by Fleetwood (1 home and 1 away).
- Fleetwood were unbeaten in 4 at home until their 3-2 defeat on Sunday. They have only won 1 of their last 11 league games after winning 6 of the first 11. The Gills have won 4 of their last 11.
- 11 games ago, Fleetwood were only a point outside of the play-offs and there were 12 points and 14 places between them and the Gills. A win for the Gills would put them a point behind Fleetwood with a better goal difference.
- Fleetwood have only lost 5 of their last 29 home league matches and kept a clean sheet in 14 of them. In the whole of last season and this season, the Gills have kept 9 league clean sheets home and away.

Space telescope you had better keep your boys awake Friday night, Fleetwood cracked two in against Peterboro' in the last two minutes the other night. Must come away with at least a point , same against Oxford ,three would be magic and a wonderful Christmas present, pick up 3 against the Wombles because after that Charlton and the Shrews come knocking , and most of the teams below us have a game in hand.
Come on YOU GILLS , 7 points for our Christmas Present would be real nice.

I said at the start of the that I felt Fleetwood would be this years surprise relegation. They brought in Rosler and I changed my mind but it looks like it may well be right! 1 win in 12 and in freefall. Ouch.

Great win for the good guys, need at least a point on Boxing day and then three from the Wombles and we could easily be sitting six points clear of the drop zone which would be great with a tough few games coming up in January.

A great result up at Fleetwood, and good to get a clean sheet, also for the hardy souls to be rewarded for the long trips recently.A good response to the FA Cup defeat at Carlisle, and two league wins in a row has really helped.Lets hope we can take advantage of Oxford`s thrashing at home to Wigan. An early goal might dent their confidence more.
