- The Gills edge the wins over Walsall by 46 wins to 43. Just 23 of the 112 meetings have ended in draws however 7 have come in the last 10.
- The Gills have the joint lowest first half goal tally (3) in League 1 whilst Walsall have the joint highest first half goals conceded tally (14).
- Walsall have only kept 1 clean sheet in the league all season (the joint lowest with Oldham) and are the only side in League 1 without a clean sheet at home.
- A win for the Gills would make it 4 successive away wins that last occurred back in February 2013. It will be 3 successive away league wins that last occurred back in January 2013.
- In Gills games against Walsall, the home side has won just once in the last 10 meetings. The Gills won the last meeting, 2-1 away at Walsall exactly a year ago (1 day short).
- Walsall have only lost once at home in the league this season (to Southend in their last league match) however they haven't won at home in 5.

NNNNNOOOOOOO,NNNOOOOOO, stop the pain NOW, who knew that if you started supporting Gillingham that every few years you would be going through the pain of a relegation battle?
I swear when I first saw 4th Division Gillingham whip 2nd Divisions Burys butts the night we turned the floodlights on for the first time (1963) I was hooked and 100% convinced it would only be a matter of a few years before we would be playing REAL First Division teams like Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers, didn't think it would be in some imaginary 1st Division ( which is really the Third Division ) for you young'ens who don't know any better .
Come on you Gills lets go, it gives me a heavy heart and puts a tear in my eye even just thinking about the chance of relegation again.

This will be Lovell`s first game as permanent manager.Hopefully the players will be settled now it has all be sorted out.A lot of Walsall fans are unhappy with their manager, also their manager is saying some of their poor results is down to too many player errors. We should be confident for being unbeaten in four in all competitions. We have beaten good sides away such as Peterborough, and Rotherham recently,so should be going there confident of getting a result.

A win tomorrow and some help from those around us could finally see us get out of the red zone, although I tend to think if we pick up a point it wouldn't be the end of the world, but what a way to welcome the new manager with THREE BIG POINTS for THE GILLS.
Can't see Bury getting much at Blackburn, Rochdale can't win away, Nth'pton I don't think will get much out of Scunny so COME ON YOU GILLS, lets get out of this relegation zone once and for all, it will make me a happy camper for the Thanksgiving vacation NEXT WEEK. GGGOOO GILLS.

Sounds like a good result. Anyone at the game tell us what it was like?

Scrappy first half from both sides. Warsaw, on any other day would probably have put a couple of goals away - mixture of poor finishing and a couple of good saves from Holy made sure that didn't happen. You'd have say that Wilkinson's goal was a burglary.

Second half saw Warsaw have the lions share of possession and even when Ehmer left the game they didn't really hurt us and with the rub of the green we might have stolen another goal or two.

All in all a decent day at the office.

A very important win on the road! Also very nervy listening to the game as Walsall had plenty of chances. We had 3 to their 21! Defence beat attack, and Holy and the defence were really up against it.A massive win to lift us out of the bottom 4.Hopefully we can stay out of there now and push towards mid-table.
