- Reading made wholesale changes in the League Cup tie and only Barrett plays tonight from the 14 used. Leg and Frost were unused subs.
- A win or a losing draw (loss on penalties) will ensure the Gills top the group and secure a home tie in the knockout round.

Well we`re safely through in the Competition,so a chance to play fringe players like Nash,Oldaker, maybe even Mbo now he is back.I don`t expect there to be many there with the boycott, but hopefully another win for confidence.

Because of the introduction of U21 teams into what was essentially the third and fourth division cup , with a north v south final at Wembley .

It's seen as a backdoor way of getting ready to introduce Premier league B teams into the football league structure .

It failed last season , and is failing again this season , so let's hope that this is the end of it .

The Who Ate All The Pies website had a brilliant article last season about the age old question of what would stop people from going to football matches , and now we've found out , with Supporters sites and Club sites boasting about how few supporters they took to fixtures .

I have to confess that I have seen some of a tie in this competition this season - Coventry v Shrewsbury - but only because the window in my room that week at the Ricoh Arena faced out to the pitch . Didn't watch for long , honest , but I did see Coventry score through a penalty .

Wow what a strange game! 7-5 win, which seemed like a game of Fifa. Both keeper`s seemed to have a poor night, but where did the result come from? The result made quite a few main accounts on Social media.Three wins from 3 in the Group,so we win the group and wait for the knockout stages.Great for Oldaker,Cundle,O`Neill, and MBO all to score their first goals for the club.Oldaker could have had a hat trick had it not been for the penalty miss.I think he will be in the squad on Saturday.
