By all of the fan's standards - I didn't see one say how rubbish Wagstaff or Knott was when their signing was announced and the reception was generally the opposite. Most were excited by Emmanuel-Thomas as well who at this level is quite a name. Dack was easily the best player in League 1 up until January so there are 4 very key influencial players that virtually every fan was thrilled to have. Maybe Konchesky could be added to that list with his experience and we are very different with a full flowing Jackson. Nobody has a crystal ball to see how they will do in the future so Scally can't be blamed for what they do whilst here however even Man City wouldn't win the league if you stuck Aguero at right back and constantly swapped the midfield around every game.

Performances on the field are what interest me. You blame the manager for the club going nowhere, I blame the man who controls the finances, appoints the managers, signs-off all the transfers and, as everyone knows, micromanages every aspect of GFC.

If the chairman is more interested in personal wealth than in winning football matches this is the inevitable outcome.
