[30th] Three goals have been scored by defenders so far this season but only one by midfielders.

[28th] The Gills were credited with having the most possession against Bradford (52 - 48%) for the only time in a game this season.

[27th] 4 games this season have seen a player win 3 fouls in the game, the most for a game so far this season. Those players were Whelpdale, Allen, Lee & Harriman
The Bradford game however saw 3 fouls won by 3 different players in a single game. Those players were Martin, Legge & Hollands.

[26th] Kedwell was caught offside 6 times in the Crawley match, only one less than Cody's 7 for the season and more than any other player's season total.

[25th] At this stage last season the Gills had secured 91.7% of the points on offer. This season the total is 12.5% so far!

[24th] Our opponents took 22 leads last season. They are already halfway to reaching that total, the number of leads currently being Gills 3 Opponents 11.

[23rd] We have lost 4 games this season in which we failed to score, something that happened only 6 times in all of last season.

[20th] After the 1st ten games last season our record was Won 7, Drew 1 & Lost 2. Our current record this season is Won 0, Drew 3, Lost 6.

[19th] In the Martin Allen era, the Gills have played towards the Rainham end 7 times in the 1st half, winning 6 of those games and losing one (win % 85.7). We have shot towards that end 23 times in the 2nd half, winning 7 and losing 9 (win % 30.4).

[18th] The points dropped last season from points scoring positions (either after a goal had been scored or in the final 10 minutes with the game at 0-0) totaled 13 points lost. It is already 9 points lost this season so far.

[17th] The Gills conceded the 4th goal of the game at Priestfield for the first time under Martin Allen against Wimbledon after scoring it 7 times.

[16th] No Gills player has scored more than one goal in a game for 34 matches.

[13th] Last season the Gills avoided back to back defeats, something that occurred 4 times the season before (the last saw 6 defeats in a row). It has, of course, happened twice this season already!

[12th] Leon Legge left the pitch injured in his 30th appearance for the club at the weekend, the only time he hasn't completed 90 minutes for the club.

[11th] Crawley's 2nd half triple goal spree was the first conceded for 71 games since Crewe in did it in March 2012.

[10th] Crawley's Gary Alexander's red card was the first sending off for the home side in a Gills away match for 621 days. The previous sending off being for Claude Davis, also at Crawley!

[9th] Despite winning the league, the home win percentage dropped from 53.8% in 2011/12 to 52.0% last season. The away percentage however rose from 39.7% to 57.7%.

[6th] The Gills fans at Burton numbered 1,651 from a crowd of 5,426 (30.4% of the gate) but only 1,714 watched the corresponding match in the season before with 150 Gills fans (8.8%) making the trip.

[5th] Even with a squad rotation policy, 3 players beat the previous season's most minutes played (3,770) from Danny Kedwell. They were Stuart Nelson (4,300), Matt Fish (4,191) and Adam Barratt (4,140)

[4th] Callum Davies has appeared in the top 5 of the least fouling players for the past 2 seasons. His average of a foul every 271.6 minutes last season was a whole 79.6 minutes better than 2nd placed David Wright!

[3rd] At 17 years and 218 days, Mahlon Romeo was the 7th youngest player in League 2 last season. The youngest was Junior Morias of Wycombe 133 days his junior.
