Saturday 2nd
Match day - GILLS v Charlton Athletic (FA Cup Round 2)

Sunday 3rd
In the win over Charlton, the Gills kept a successive home clean sheet for the first time since the wins over Crewe and Cambridge in February 2022. Since then, there have been 14 clean sheets, 7 at home and 7 away.

Monday 4th
Of the 9 clean sheets this season, 5 have come in away games. 2 of the 4 home clean sheets have come in the Gills' last 2 games, their 3rd and 4th clean sheets in their last 9 matches. These followed 1 clean sheet in 9 games which succeeded the 4 earned in the opening 5 games.

Tuesday 5th
The Gills have been more successful when having less possession in games so far this season, the Charlton win breaking the pattern:
6 games with most possession: 68 (L), 68 (L), 66 (L), 58 (W), 55 (L), 54 (L)
6 with fewest possession: 28 (W), 29 (W), 31 (W), 38 (L), 42 (W), 42 (L)

Wednesday 6th
The Gills 2-0 half time lead against Charlton was the first time they had led at the break by that scoreline since October 2020. The last 4 home games when they led 2-0 at half time ended 2-0, 3-1, 2-0 and 3-1.

Thursday 7th
Against Charlton, the Gills scored 2 first half goals for only the second time this season - the other being the 2-1 win over Morecambe in September. They are the only matches in 47 games in which the Gills had scored more than once before the break.

Friday 8th
This season and the previous 2 seasons have seen just 5 matches in which the Gills had scored more than 1 goal before half time. All 5 games did not see the Gills score any further goals in the second halves of those matches making it 6 in a row.
