Saturday 14th
Match day - GILLS v Hartlepool United (League 2)

Sunday 15th
The Gills scored more than 1 goal in a league game for the first time in 27 games. They last scored 2 in April 2022 (a 2-2 draw) and conceded more than 1 in 10 league games since then. The last time the Gills scored more than 1 in a home league games was the 2-7 defeat last January.

Monday 16th
Jefferies' goal vs Hartlepool avoided the Gills equalling an unwanted EFL record of failing to score more than once in 24 consecutive games in a season (set by Loughborough in 1898/9 & Doncaster 2008/9). 4 league wins had occurred since they last won by 2+ goals in February 22.

Tuesday 17th
Tom Nichols scored and assisted against Hartlepool, the only Gills player to contribute towards 2 goals in a league game this season and the first since Vadaine Oliver 28 league games ago. In league and cup games, Lewis Walker is the only other player this season to manage 2 (2 goals).

Wednesday 18th
The Gills' 2-0 win over Hartlepool was their first league and cup win by more than 1 goal at Priestfield since a 3-1 win in March 2021. Between those wins, the Gills have won 11 home games all by 1 goal but had managed 5 away wins by 2+ goals.

Thursday 19th
The Gills last 2-0 home win came against Bristol Rovers in February 2021. In all competitions since then, the Gills have won 3 matches by a 2-0 scoreline all away from home. They had suffered 9 defeats at home by a 0-2 scoreline and a further 6 away from home.

Friday 20th
The Gills have found scoring 2 goals difficult in league games recently. The previous home win when scoring 2 goals came against Morecambe in August 2021 - 65 league games ago. Since then, 6 of the 7 occasions in which the Gills scored 2 league goals have been away from home (3 wins, 2 draws).
