Match day - Grimsby Town v GILLS (League 2)

Wednesday 14th
The new club record for longest period of minutes without scoring ended with Mandron's equalising goal after 644 minutes (7 games) without one. The Gills had failed to score in 8 of the 11 games this season (4 goals) but had scored in 12 of the opening 13 games last season (15 goals).

Thursday 15th
This season, 3 of the 4 goals scored have been on the road. 6 of the last 7 and 12 of the last 14 goals have all been scored in the Gills away games.

Friday 16th
After the Gills had no goals disallowed last season, the Gills had 2 in the game with Grimsby making it 3 in 9 games. Mikael Mandron was the "scorer" of all 3.

Good job we didn't need to bring in any forwards during the off season, and that's not Scally's fault,it's that damn guy who paints the lines on the field that told Scally not to waste any money buying goal scorers. Fly on the wall heard him say Mr. Scally, just buy your wife a new Merc 500 so she can drive the car around Dubai looking like her useless husband is actually smart enough to own a football team , we have all the midfield players who will score a dozen each before Christmas. Well that's two', only about 30 to go.
