Saturday 30th
Match day - GILLS v Rotherham United (League 1)

Sunday 1st
The game against Rotherham was the 8th time in 19 seasons in which the Gills ended the season with a home match. 7 of those had come in the last 11 seasons. Before Rotherham, the Gills had won 4, drawn 1 and lost 1 of the previous 6.

Monday 2nd
The Gills had 22 blank sheets in the 2021/22, the joint 3rd highest total in their history after suffering 25 in 1989/90. The 14 at Priestfield was the most in their history, 3 more than the previous highest (1905/6 and 1980/1). Since leaving the Championship, the Gills average 5.9 blank sheets per season with only 2 seasons having more than 7.

Tuesday 3rd
The Gills last 4 full seasons have seen them concede 42, 39, 41 and 36 home league and cup goals after the 14 before saw no more than 37 conceded (9 under 30) including 3 relegation seasons with 21, 26 and 25 conceded. The most in a season was 43 in 1960/61.

Wednesday 4th
The 42 league goals conceded at Priestfield this season was the most in the club's history. Last season's 39 was the highest since the previous club record of 41 was set in 1933/34 (from 2 fewer games played).

Thursday 5th
Despite 2 of the 3 worst seasons for home goals conceded coming this and last season, in all league and cup games they conceded 78 and 73 goals respectively. 6 of the last 13 full seasons saw them concede more.

Friday 6th
The Gills scored 31 home league goals last season but only 13 this season, setting a new club record. It dwarfs the 19 set in a 21 game home league season (1920/21) and the 22 in a 23 game home league season (1970/71 and 2004/5).
