Saturday 16th
Match day - Gills v Sunderland (League 1)

Sunday 17th
The Gills 8 October games last season saw 1 win and 6 defeats (1 being at home to Sunderland). The Sunderland home defeat this October was the 4th loss in the 4 games. Their October record since returning to the 3rd tier stands at 14 wins and 29 defeats from the 55 games played.

Monday 18th
This October, the Gills have conceded 2 goals in 4 successive games and for the first time since October 2016. The most last season was 3 in a row, also in October (2020). The season before that also saw 3 in August 2019.

Tuesday 19th
Match day - Gills v Doncaster Rovers (League 1)

Wednesday 20th
The Sunderland defeat saw the Gills take the highest number shots at goal since the 30 on and off target against Bolton in August 2019. They managed 25 against Sunderland with 18 of them off target. Last season's highest total on AND off target in a game was 18.

Thursday 21st
The Gills managed 8 corners against Doncaster, the most in a Gills game since they also won 8 against Burton back in May. All of the corners against Doncaster came in the second half of the match.

Friday 22nd
The League 1 table is quite strange this season when looking at goals conceded. Morecambe in 18th have conceded the most (24) but Accrington (10th) and Bolton (11th) have only conceded 1 fewer. Fleetwood (20th) have a positive GD whilst Burton (7th) have negative one. Here's the table based on goals conceded.
