Saturday 26th
The Gills are not playing a Boxing Day game for the first time since the 2010/11 season. They hadn't lost a Boxing Day match in 6 seasons with 4 of those games being away from home. They lost 3 of the 4 Boxing Day games before them, all of them at Priestfield.

Sunday 27th
Vadaine Oliver scored his 7th goal for the club on the 23rd game of the season, matching the totals from last season's top-scorers after 43 games. Here's how they compare:
