Saturday 12th
Match day - Gills v Hull City

Sunday 13th
The defeat by Hull was only the Gills 3rd opening league defeat in 13 seasons and their first since 2014. The Gills have started a league campaign at home in 10 of the last 20 seasons and Hull was their second defeat. They had won 7 of them including 5-0 wins over Preston and Swindon and a 4-0 win over Sheffield Utd.

Monday 14th
Despite 2 wins out of 3 at the start of this season against lower league opposition, the Gills have managed 26 fewer shots at goal than their opponents have managed (30 against 56).
