The Gills have let in the opening goal in 5 of the opening 7 games. Last season they conceded the first goal in 7 of the opening 8 matches.
Monday 4th
The Gills have scored 2 goals in the 421 minutes Josh Parker has started but scored 4 in the 77 he played after coming on as a sub.
Tuesday 5th
In the last 15 league games, the Gills have scored only 2 first half goals but conceded 14. They scored 14 and conceded 15 in those second halves.
Wednesday 6th
This is the Gills worst start to a league campaign for 43 years (1974/5). That season we finished 10th with the equivalent of 65 points.
Thursday 7th
The Gills have scored 6 goals in the last 3 games having previously scored the 6 before over 9 games.
Friday 8th
The Gills most recent best and worst starts to a league season and the final outcome. 3 of the 5 best starts fail to see promotion and only 1 of the 6 worst starts saw relegation (1 even saw promotion)! In the 2013/14 season when we ended with 53 points, we only had 3 points after 8 league matches.
