Amazing
Posted: Fri Jun 22, 2018 2:38 amWhen I am feeling a bit ...away from home blues, I go on You Tube look up River Medway, or Gillingham, or Kent, and watch the vidz, listen to a few songs and tonight I have found the most strange thing .
If anyone has ever listened to Orinoco Flow , (sail away ,sail away) by Enya, after the first chorus at like 1 minute 15, the song goes from Fiji to Tiree to the Isle of Ebony , and I had no idea where the Isle of Ebony was.
Low and behold in Kent, a few miles south of Tenterden and was an Island thanks to the River Rother, but has not been an Island for a few hundred years.
Also the home of Mary Anne Smith,the woman who cultivated the Granny Smith apple.
OK now I have shared that I can go to bed a happy man, lol.
