World Cup Draw.

Postby gillsfan1066 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 8:46 am

Nearly three o 'clock in the A.M. our time , just woke up in a cold sweat, dreamt we were in the group with Brazil, Croatia and Chile. Might as well stay awake now till 6.30 to see the real draw, which I am sure will put us in the group with Switzerland, Iran and Ghana, unless of course the Mexican billionaires that run football have already filled "Sepps" secret Swiss bank account with Pesos , and the Cup has already got 2014 winners Mexico engraved on it, lol. and the tourney has been cancelled till 2018.

I can't work it out. I keep hearing how hot it is going to be and also that it will be Brazil's winter. If they get 30 degrees in winter what the heck do they get in summer?

Temps in Brazil stay about the same year round , just gets a few degrees cooler of a night time in winter. Think our first game in the middle of the dam rain forest could prove to be the most difficult ,probably going to be very humid 85% or so and that is worse than the heat for sapping a players energy. We get 95% humidity here in the summer, it can be very tiring just wandering round the golf course whacking a ball about, let alone running for 90 minutes. Plus the fact the place is a s**t hole anyway.

Blimey, imagine summer all year round!!! Makes a crap Christmas though!!

I guess playing Italy leaves a level playing field but it might play into the hands of the other teams, can't see a south American side not winning it. Perhaps this year might be the first year since 1966 we go virtually having given up all hope of getting somewhere in the tournament. Perhaps the missing pressure might work in our favour? But then again.....

Just imagine what an awful Christmas it would be, laying on Ipanima Beach, eating turkey and salad, drinking a few glasses of Riesling, watching these 5 ft 9inch Brazilian beauties wonder up and down the beach wearing 1 square inch total of bikini, dam what a rotten Christmas Day that would be, lol.

Ha ha. That's SUMMER! That's what we look forward to summer for! All the Christmas lights and warm cosy mulled cider doesn't have the same effect in blazing sunshine and 30 degree heat!
