Posted: Sun Jan 15, 2017 4:07 pmWhat an amazing start for the kid, comes on for his Everton debut and a few minutes later scores his side's 4th in a 4-0 win over Man City! Proof that learning your trade at lower league level is better than festering in a youth set up that has proved this season in the FL trophy to be no match at all for a senior side. Two questions though:
1. How on Earth did Everton see £10m worth of talent in a kid that has only played 40 odd games for Charlton and scored just 10 goals. There are other players in the division with far better and more consistent records.
2. What does this do to Charlton now they have £10m worth of investment coming their way over the next however long. Their fans are at war with the bosses who I don't see investing that all how they would like it and ours moan if they don't see Scally reinvesting £50,000 immediately. It could either cause them massively problems or they become another club with obscene money we couldn't begin to compete with. Makes you wonder how Dack was only worth £1m.
