The Conference To Be Renamed

From next season The Conference will be renamed the Vanarama National League.The Conference North & South will become the Vanarama National League North and the Vanarama National League South.

Not being smart enough to figure out what Vanarama was or does , I looked it up and found out it was a village in Gujarat India, which brings me to the next question why would a poor village in India sponsor the minnows of the football world in England ??

Personally I think the Conference sounds better.

It does....the National South sounds positively ridiculous. It also makes the 4 divisions above sound like regional ones.

National League North and National League South doesn't make sense to me either and is very strange.

The League will also have its own TV channel, NLTV, which will focus exclusively on the 68 member clubs across the three divisions.

At least the clubs in The Conference National, Conference North and Conference South will get more exposure and more coverage.

Not a real channel though surely? More an area of BT Sport or a web channel? Even the EPL didn't do their own channel where they could take all the money so it seems odd that it would happen there.
