Jesse Lingard has been called up for the France game on Tuesday. He has only played 2 matches and gets in.Shows how easy it is to get caps these days.

Wrong time to be trying out new players as they aren't exactly going to be in the Euros. We should be settling on the 11 we are going to use and trying it on the best sides as its too late changing it after you lose the first 2 games! The side that wins it will be a regular settled side. Its why England never deliver when it matters as too many care more about their clubs.....unless we get to the final of course.

Agree completely. Jones, Henderson, Milner, Carrick, Shelvey, Walker, Young, Cahill, the list of very ordinary players in our squad goes on and on. I would't back the team from the weekend to beat Wales or even Scotland.

Think you nailed it in one, my bet is the Club managers tell the pathetic England manager don't play my Super Stars they need the rest and I don't need them injured, if you play them then next time they get called up for a " friendly " I will get a note from the local quack to say there poorly and can't leave home.

I thought there was great support before the game for France.Cards being held up,both sets of fans singing the French national anthem,The minutes silence, and of course both sets of players standing side by side.I thought it was a really good game, especially after the tragic events. Both Teams liked to get forward, and I thought we deserved our 2-0 win.Alli was outstanding,as was Sterling on the wing.Alli`s finish was a great strike even with a slight deflection, and Rooney with his 51st goal was a good finish from a volley.Football was the winner tonight, and it showed we`re united as one.

Football showing its best side, exactly as I knew it would. Not sure about itv's coverage though. Good goals by England, especially Ali who as others have said looked decidedly ordinary at Priestfield last season. Not sure how up for it France were so hard to tell how good a performance it was from England.

Good crowd reaction and much more promising from England, although the French, understandably, looked very subdued.

This is England`s group at Euro 2016.

England
Russia
Slovakia
Wales

That is a pleasing draw for us.Wales are a good side with Bale, but if we can stop him we will win the game.Russia is tricky but we can beat them, and the same for Slovakia. We should be looking at winning the group.
