All not well at the Palace

Postby Garawa » Thu Aug 14, 2014 7:53 pm

No, Prince Phillip isn't at it again! Crystal Palace should be looking forward to the season more than any side other that the promoted three but SSN are saying that Pulis is having emergency talks with Steve Parrish. It seems they have fallen out over something which after what he did last season should have everyone at the club on the crest of a wave! What on Earth could have changed so quick? Surely we can't have a second managerial departure after only a week of the new season!

So he has gone then after a big falling out with the chairman. Parrish seems a down to earth sort of guy and this sounds a little like history repeating. Will be interesting to watch their press conference at 3pm tomorrow afternoon!

Pulis has been frustrated by the failure to land a number of Summer Transfer Targets.I think Crystal Palace have shot themselves in the foot by letting him go.Before Pulis took over they were doomed, but he ended up keeping them up quite comfortably. He was Manager of the season as well.Palace could now struggle without him.Pulis will walk into another Job quite comfortably.I`m sure there are a few Chairman already looking at an excuse to sack their Manager,so they can get free agent Pulis.Things could have gone on behind the scenes, but Palace will find it hard to replace Pulis I think.Moyes,Hoddle, and Mackay have been linked with the job.

Hoddle having just started at QPR? Might make him look stupid! Clubs don't seem to be spending despite having a £60m+ bounty to spend, I don't get it. THat is what is being reported but I don't believe it as he would have full knowledge of what was and wasn't within the clubs remit and he would managed accordingly. Unless he was saying the club failed in their duties to actually secure the signing of players they could afford. Some good players have left over the summer as well which can't have helped. After going from a side certain to do well they could easily end up relegated now!

Seems he wanted total control which considering Kenwyn Jones, Beckford and a couple of other "goal scorers" might not be the perfect scenario.

Nice to see at least one owner sticking to his guns, hope they do well in the Championship and bounce straight back next season.
Now where will TP go ??
