Gills Looking To Extend Egan`s Contract.

Justin Edinburgh says extending John Egan`s contract is high on his agenda,and hopes it can be sorted once pre-season starts.

Regardless of what the terms and conditions are from John Egan's agent to get John Egan to sign on the dotted line at Gillingham Football Club, I think we should match whatever those term and conditions are, because John Egan is one of the few players at the club I would offer anything and everything to ensure he sign's on the dotted line and make sure that he is at Gillingham Football Club for the foreseeable future.

If John Egan was offered the same contract length that was offered to Bradley Dack and Jake Hessenthaler, Gills would be in a position where we don't have to accept the first fee that comes in for him as John Egan wouldn't be out of contract in twelve months time.

I think we`re looking at a 3-4 year deal and tieing John down for a long time.It would be a great piece of business if we do.
