I have got to say that Peter Taylor's Interview on The Gillingham Official Website and Kent Online is a honest one, he sounds like a man who knows that his managerial future is on the line and only wins will keep him in the job for longer.
There are quite a few supporters demanding for a managerial change (and that's fair enough because everyone has there own opinion), but what happens if Gillingham make a managerial change, appoint someone else and Gillingham go on a 5-6 game run where we don't win ??? - do we then sack the next manager and then the next ??? - I think our problems are deeper then who the manager is because I think Gillingham are a small fish in a big pond, the likes of Preston North End, Leyton Orient, Peterborough United, MK Dons, Sheffield United and Bristol City have finances that are "on another planet" to what Gillingham can afford, money talks and the more money you have the better players you can afford, and the better players can produce those moments of quality which can turns defeats into draws and draws into wins.
I am acknowledging that Peter Taylor's managerial future is on the line, this is a results business, but if we make a managerial change then everyone will have heightened expectations on who the next manager should be, and there will be manager's who won't touch The Gillingham Job because there is little funds available to improve the squad and they might want to wait for a Championship Job to come along.
But what does everyone else think on here, can you see Peter Taylor going ??? Do you think a managerial change can improve our league position ??? and what do you think about my suggestion that next manager might see there job on the line if Gillingham were to go on a similar run under the next manager (should we decide to make a managerial change of course) ???
