Car crash

Postby lidbid46 » Fri Aug 25, 2023 7:27 pm

Just seen the footage of five Gills players involved in a nasty car smash. Alexander, Bonne, Williams, Dieng and one other; all first teamers in Woodlands road on their way to training. All got out ok but must be shaken up and a bit sore.

No mention of this elsewhere so here's hoping all are OK as that would be a lot to lose!

Just seen the video of the car accident, me thinks some one is going to end up walking to training once he has been to court. We did some rough distance and time calculations ,and came to the conclusion that vehicle was doing almost 50 clicks when it first came into view and lost control. That BMW like most new cars has a "black box" in it , in a car it is called "An Event Data Recorder " , they record driving and vehicle data from before , during and after the crash, it will be very easy to see what speed that vehicle was going even before he lost control. Armatures with to much money showing off like 17 year old's who have just passed there test.I hit a gas station pump less than 30 minutes after I passed my test which I took on Rock Avenue, did anyone else take there driving test back in the middle to late 60's there ?

I did my test from Rock Avenue in the early 80s. A couple of those involved were not even in the squad yesterday which may have had something to do with the accident I guess. It may have affected the others as well judging by the performance!
