So , a couple of years back , i signed up with Leyton Orient so that i could livestream a pre-season game against the Gills .

Never bothered to unsubscribe , just delete the emails when they drop in .

Today they sent out an email wishing all their supporters a safe journey into ESSEX tonight .

This is another classic example of what i call Thick Cockney Syndrome , whereby those born , or who now work and live in London , don't give a toss about anything that happens outside of it .

Betjeman had the right idea , but should have extended the range a number of miles east of Slough .
